# Vox — Thin underwater cables hold the internet

A three-minute explainer that opens on the myth that the internet is in the cloud, then flies a camera across a vintage-style world map of undersea cables, opens up a cable's layers in flat illustration, and traces the history from the telegraph to today's cable ships. It closes on a credits and subscribe card.
